Tour Itinerary

Windsor is a beautiful countryside town which is home to the largest and oldest occupied castle in the world, Windsor Castle. As well as being one of Her Majesty's favourite residences, it has for over 900 years been at the heart of Royal Family life, with 40 sovereigns having lived within its walls.

After being transferred to Windsor by your private chauffeur, the day begins with your personal guide taking your party on a private guided tour of historical Windsor, the traditional English village on the banks of the River Thames.

Hear tales and secrets from the past as you take in the medieval cobbled streets and Victorian architecture. Watch the Changing of the Guard** as the new guard makes its way into the castle grounds, before having time to visit the State Apartments, Queen Mary's Dolls House and St Georges Chapel at your leisure.

For lunch you'll have time to choose from a wide range of traditional pubs and restaurants. There will also be opportunites to visit the wide variety of shops in the charming town.

In the afternoon your personal guide will escort you across the River Thames to take a walking tour of the famous neighbouring town of Eton. Reknown around the world for its traditional antique stores, Eton is also home to one of the country's most famous schools dating back to 1440, Eton College. It is here where Princes William and Harry, as well as many of this country's prime ministers, have been educated.

Stonehenge Extension (Additional 4 Hours)

A popular option with this tour is to extend for a further 4 hours to make a complete day experience with a visit to mystical Stonehenge.

Set deep within the plains of Wiltshire, Stonehenge is arguably the most important prehistoric site in the United Kingdom.

Reminding us of lost civilisations from a time long gone by, Stonehenge continues to mystify. Just how was this feat achieved, a perfect circle with stones weighing up to 50 tonnes, all without machinery? Discover your answer to these questions and much more with a visit to this World Heritage Site.
